“Sam’s Bar-B-Que was started in 1957 by Sam Campbell, a born-and-raised Austinite. In 1976, after Sam’s death, Dan Mays Sr. took over the business while staying true to Sam’s desire to create quality home-style Bar-B-Que. Today, Dan’s son Brian Mays (pictured on the left) continues the family tradition.
